1scope
This document applies to straight, round, seamlesspipes made of polyethylene PE 80 and PE 100 withmelt-mass flow rates from nominal 0,20 g/10 minup to 1,4 g/10 min, measured at 190 C/5 kg.
This document is also valid for co-extruded layerpipes with regard to thegeneral qualityrequirements; provided that the layers are made ofmaterials with the same MRS-classification and thelayers are substance-to-substance connected toeach other. Additional requirements for the pipesare laid down in the European product standards.
lt is pointed out that European product standardsfor specific scopes of application are available,which shall be taken into consideration. Some ofthese European product standards are listed in thebibliography for information.
